Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, Québec
This project involved the construction of a new vitrified steel potable water reservoir with a capacity of 2,674 m³, along with a new booster building to ensure water distribution throughout the municipality’s network.
The work carried out included:
- Supply and installation of the reservoir on a foundation composed of driven piles and a structural concrete slab;
- Construction of a booster building integrated into the network;
- Installation of four booster pumps and a generator;
- Implementation of instrumentation, ventilation, piping, valves, and electrical systems necessary for optimal operation.
This key infrastructure investment for the municipality of Saint-Joseph-du-Lac ensures reliable, uninterrupted water distribution while securing service longevity for decades to come.
Project highlights:
- Adherence to a particularly tight schedule through careful planning and efficient execution;
- Completion of a major concrete pour totaling 185 m³ for the reservoir slab, carried out safely and without interruption;
- Targeted work on the city’s main potable water pipeline, including a temporary shutdown, connection, and installation of three valves, performed overnight in just a few hours to minimize impact on the distribution network.
