treatment plant to provide the community of Chisasibi with a reliable, high-quality water supply, replacing outdated facilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The work carried out included:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supply and installation of an ultrafiltration system capable of treating 3,992 m\u00b3\/day, including all associated subsystems, chemical dosing, membrane backwash equipment, instrumentation, valves, fittings, and associated piping;<\/li>\n<li>Supply and installation of two stainless steel treated water tanks, each with a capacity of 25,000 litres;<\/li>\n<li>Supply and installation of distribution pumps;<\/li>\n<li>Installation of a temporary raw water pumping system;<\/li>\n<li>Modifications to the existing raw water pumping well and adjustments to the existing plant piping to feed the new plant;<\/li>\n<li>Decommissioning and dismantling of the existing plant;<\/li>\n<li>Supply and installation of a sand removal system in the existing plant to remove sand from the raw water before it is delivered to the new treatment plant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This project provided the community with modern, high-performance infrastructure that meets the latest standards, ensuring a reliable, safe, and sustainable service adapted to the logistical realities of northern Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project highlights:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work in remote regions, requiring complex logistics for transporting heavy equipment and specialized materials;<\/li>\n<li>Rigorous workforce planning;<\/li>\n<li>Enhanced interdisciplinary coordination to optimize work;<\/li>\n<li>Work performed while keeping the existing plant operational;<\/li>\n<li>Installation of a reliable and efficient temporary raw water pumping system to supply the existing plant during work in the raw water pumping well;<\/li>\n<li>Installation of two stainless steel tanks, each 25,000 L and over 6 meters in height;<\/li>\n<li>Installation of multiple chemical systems, including sodium hypochlorite, citric acid, hydrochloric acid, sodium thiosulfate, sodium hydroxide, and sodium
